Some people find a job. Others build a career. And then, there’s Ramon Duran—who, for the past 22 years, has been crafting his very own BlueStar legacy. As a Solutions Architect in IT, Ramon isn’t just solving problems; he’s shaping the future, one innovation at a time.

The Beginning: A Phone Call That Changed Everything

Way back when (before Wi-Fi was everywhere and smartphones ruled the world), Ramon received a call. It was an opportunity with BlueStar—a chance to work on cutting-edge technology. The details of that first conversation might be a little fuzzy now, but one thing is clear: it was the beginning of something big.

A Career Built on Curiosity and Innovation

For Ramon, work isn’t just about clocking in and out—it’s about learning, growing, and pushing boundaries. What keeps him going after two decades? Simple: the thrill of expanding his knowledge. Technology never stands still, and neither does he. From providing technical support to developing automation solutions and tackling the massive robotic warehouse project, his career has evolved in ways he never imagined.

"My main motivation is to expand my knowledge," he says. "I've always been researching and learning about new technologies and science. That’s what makes working with innovative manufacturers so exciting."

The Robotic Warehouse: A Challenge Worth Taking

Of all the projects Ramon has tackled, the robotic warehouse management system stands out. It was a game-changer for the team—a challenge that required problem-solving, collaboration, and plenty of late nights. But for someone who thrives on making things work better, it was the kind of challenge that made his job worth it.

"All projects are great challenges from the moment they begin," he says, proving that for him, the journey is just as rewarding as the destination.

A Culture of Learning and Teamwork

It’s not just the projects that make BlueStar a great place to work—it’s the people. For Ramon, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a project go live and knowing it’s making a difference. And in a company that values continuous learning and innovation, he’s had plenty of opportunities to do what he does best.

"It’s always gratifying to see a new project in production, solving the problems it was designed to fix," he shares. "That’s what makes it all worthwhile."

Lessons from the Journey

After 22 years, Ramon has learned a thing or two about careers, technology, and finding fulfillment in work. His advice? Do what you love.

"If you don’t like your job, try to change it as soon as possible—or run away and find another one," he says with a smile. It’s a simple philosophy, but one that’s kept him motivated and engaged for over two decades.

Looking Ahead

As for the future? Ramon’s vision is refreshingly straightforward. "I hope BlueStar continues as it is now," he says. "And I want to keep working on useful projects that make work easier for the entire team."

With his passion for learning and problem-solving, there’s no doubt he’ll keep doing exactly that. And if the past 22 years are any indication, his BlueStar story is far from over.
